Chances are pretty good that, at some point in your life, you’ve owned something LCD based. A television, a computer monitor, even a cell phone display. And you know that, despite the flood of LED and plasma goodies out there, that they still put on a pretty good show. But what if there were a way to make that LCD still put on a good show while not pull any juice from those money-hungry so-and-sos down at the power company? Even better, right? And that’s just what Samsung showed off out at the CeBIT show last week.

And word is that the folks at Samsung are already working on putting this tech into some of their bigger sets as well, possibly going as far as 65 inches. And when the day arrives that a 65 inch television can run solely on the ambient light in the room, look for a whole lot of people to buy that television.
